Leviticus 11

In this chapter there are distinctions between the various animals and creatures of the Earth that the people of Israel were to either embrace or to reject and avoid completely.  In fact, many times we see they are to consider these animals detestable and abhorrent.  They were not to touch their carcasses, they were not to consume them, they were to avoid them altogether in those context.  This is a spiritual lesson.  We have to understand that in the Scriptures, since we are dealing with an invisible God who is Spirit, we have to understand these things in a spiritual light.
